Deku Tribe

Deku scrubs are a plant-based lifeform. There are friendly and unfriendly kinds, and many have an interest in doing business and selling items.

As enemies, they prefer to attack from a distance by spitting nuts. When someone comes too close to them, they hide in the grass. If they are hurt or stunned, they try to run away. When defeated, they often beg for mercy and offer up hints, or try to sell items.

In the land of Termina, Deku Scrubs are generally very refined. They have their own kingdom, and many scrubs travel the land to do business. They are fairly private, and only allow other Dekus into their own kingdom; all other people are kept out. Because of this, they are not very popular.

Deku Scrubs use Deku Flowers to bury themselves underground to hide, and also to launch themselves into the air so that they can glide around. Their woody plant-based bodies make them susceptible to fire.
