What's your favorite Zelda species?

There are lots of species in Zelda, but which is your favorite?

Mine would be gorons, because gorons are big fat rock people. That are awesome.

Now, I don't know all of the Zelda races or species, but if you know of others, please tell me, and I'll add it.

I voted:

Kokiri because I have always loved them.. How can you not love a race of innocent, non-aging elf-like children?
Rito, because, frankly, I think they're cool, and two of my favorite characters from Wind Waker are Medli and Quill. I like the personalities of many of the Ritos.
Lastly, I chose the Anouki, because they humor me, lol.

If there was a fourth, it would be Hylian, because Link and Zelda are Hylians, and Hylians are the center of most of the games.

I chose Gerudo, Sheikah, and Twili. Interestingly, both the Sheikahs and Twilis don't necessarily have large background information. The reason I chose them is that I like how their back stories are up to interpretations, so I find that personally fascinating.

^Yeah, their mysterious nature is very interesting, indeed. Now that you mention it, I'm almost considering changing my votes... I just think all the races of the world of Zelda are so cool in their own ways, it's hard to choose!

And Skull Kids seem to be just the kokiri version of stalfos, kokiri who get lost in the woods rather than humans, I would personally have put them in the same group as the stalfos (as in whether there are just monsters or not)
And if we're going to pick apart this list, there's no zunas or lokomos.

My favourite race is the subrosians, strange people who like sing and dance and value only ore chunks while other precious items are thrown away like junk. I like the pair that just like to bury things for no good reason.

^ I'd say Stalfos count as a race rather than just a monster, yeah (see Igos du Ikana). Same with Moblins ("IT'S A SECRET TO EVERYBODY.").

I picked:

Sheikah: I like how this...race (I guess you call it) of people were raised solely to be royal guards. They are so mysterious. In the Ocarina of Time manga, Ganondorf talks about the Sheikah wanting revenge on the Royal Family because of what they did to them.

Skull Kid: Interesting little creatures that live in the Lost Woods. They were originally Kokiris, but transformed into Skull Kids when lost in the Lost Woods. Skull Kid's role in Majora's Mask raised my liking for him waaaay up!

Twili: Simply the beings that live in the Twilight Realm. Not much is known about them, but they look cool.

I don't know why, but I've always been biased toward the buff/fat characters with overwhelming strength.

My choices...

Kokiri because... I dunno, I've always liked them. Also, they have eternal youth! What's cooler than that?!

Twili because I find them intresting, but they also scare me, especially because of the noise they make when you walk by them in the Palace of Twilight. Also, Midna's a Twili! Midna is one of my favorite characters in the Zelda series. And Zant is a Twili, too. And Zant is crazy! I love crazy Zant XD

Zora because... because... Well, I've always liked swimming. And whats better than a race that can breathe underwater?! I love them! I like the Zora royal family too. X3
