David, The Hero of Time looks very professional. How many people are involved in the project? Currently, the HoT Team consists of about 3-5 people. But, through out the production of the film, we had about 100 actors... We had a few dozen helping produce the film; only a few of us consistently.

How do you finance the production of your movie?
Not easily. It has been an unrealistic undertaking for the average filmmaker, but, I guess, we have found ways to make it work. We never had a huge set. Most of our sets were in public areas or on the properties of friends. We were able to borrow a light kit from time to time.

Which camera did you use?
The camera we used was the Panasonic DVX100.

How did the idea come up to make the movie?
Like any fan, we played the game and fell in love with the story. We felt that the story was good enough to be a film. We were sitting at a coffee shop and talking about The Ocarina Of Time, and we thought, "Why don't we make it a film?" For us, the reaction has been astounding! We never imagined how people would embrace the film.

Is it easier to fall back on an existing universe than coming up with new ideas?
For us, I think it was actually harder trying to blend a realistic fantasy with the original universe. An example of this would be link himself. We thought leaving link speechless in the movie would discredit Links character. Instead we used that meek, kid-like purity to contrast his later, more passionate, guilt-driven courage.

How will you release your movie?
I'm sure it will be on the Internet. HoT Spots are going to be the most exciting way to try to see the film. Any other release information will certainly be on our website, TheHeroofTime.com.
